Eve’s Times is very colourful and has a variety of articles. When I first picked it up in a retail store I thought it would be like one of those flippant supplements coming along with the newspapers. Especially because of the colour pictures which appeared to give an impression that it is all pictures and gas but nothing else. But to my surprise, I found it to be very different, and highly informative. Even the article under beauty appears quite serious and scientific.  I am amazed at the quality of your lead story on the modern developments in medical technology. The editorial sounded very genuine , with a humane touch Truly a good doctor’s special edition. . I would like to appreciate all those associate with this clean and fun magazine and wish you great success .

The story by Kanchana Rao, about her tryst with a hospital happens to most of us. I hope such writings will bring about an awareness among the people to protest whenever  they have to face injustice, especially in a hospital. After all we go to hospitals to seek relief from pain and suffering. It is unpardonable that  the medical personnel do not treat patients like humans.

Khushboo’s interview in your Deepavali issue brought out the real person behind the mask of the star. A very candid and yet a modest effort.

Karti’s views on the rise of the First families of the US sound fine. What else can the US leaders do but  showcase their family members ?  In a culture where the family as an institution is fast disappearing, a man who has a family to be proud of must indeed flaunt his wealth , isn’t it? But in our country, the leaders not only shamelessly promote their family members and ‘groom’ them for positions which they consider as their ‘heirloom’ but also allow their families to interfere in all their policies and activities, if the entire brood marches on stage, there will be no space for the public to watch the tamasha. Imagine the stage being occupied by the scions of our CM or our Railway minister, we may have to think of erecting huge platforms for their entire army!

I have been reading Eve’s Times for some time now. Initially I thought it was for women, but started reading it. It reflects the different aspects of the southern lifestyle. I am comforted by the fact that earnest efforts are made by some people in  the publishing line to bring out content that reiterates values exclusive to our country. Stories that bring out values of compassion and kindness and features that stress the importance of civic sense, unity and patriotism, and the host of information that the varied articles offer, especially the ones on health are indeed very useful.
